Holistic health, the achievement and maintenance of total dynamic fitness should be everyone’s goal. This includes physical fitness, emotional, mental, social and even spiritual fitness. All dimensions contribute to your state of health, and health is more than merely being free from disease.
Because you are your body all these other states are dependent on your physical condition. We know, also, that psyche (mind) and soma (body) are interdependent. The better care and attention to what you do with and how you feed your body, the better your state of mind and your ability to perform successfully in the social, family and public sphere. If you don’t take care of your body, where else are you going to live?
